The board has begun the exams and therefore keeping in mind last past year trends this year Bihar Board has added new steps to stop the cheating. Leaking of question papers affects the exam process and also results in the delay of the announcement of the result. So, Bihar Board has prepared the 10 various sets of the questions papers. Every set is having different questions. So, this would reduce the chances of leaking papers. Even if the papers leaked then also candidate will not able to know that which set he or she will receive on the day of the exam. Along with this Bihar Board has added the barcoded answer copies which cover the candidate's information in printed form. Instead of filling the OMR candidates need to enter the medium of the exam, students' signature and question set number.
The implementation of these moves will definitely decrease the risk of leaking of question papers as well as changes the execution process. The list is not finished here. Bihar board has also requested the teachers not to take their mobile phones inside the exam hall. The candidates going to appear for the exams are not permitted to wear socks and shoes. Before entering into the exam hall the candidates will be checked double and at the same time, information will be taken that he/she has checked the candidate and no restricted items found. In case it got so after the announcement then he or she will be rejected.
The Bihar board has also planned to add the ‘Exam Centre Locator’ mobile application to access the examination centre across the state. The process is under development. The Board has also made the differences in the pattern of the question paper. Reduce the number of High Order Thinking Skills questions and expand the number of long type questions. In the exam paper, there are a total of 27 questions of 3 to 5 marks. The candidates gave a choice to attempt any 15 questions only. By adding these changes Bihar Board is trying in the increase of passing percentage as compared to the previous year.
